(My newsletter for my team. To become one of them and climb the clouds to success with us, go to smoore.avonrepresentative.com/opportunity/start.)

Greetings, Cloud Climbers!

Let me first of all apologize to all the newer Cloud Climbers I've talked to recently as you have had questions or needed help getting orders placed. Sometimes I will talk to several in one week and I get confused on who I've been working with already and which one had this need or that. Adding this many new team members in quick succession has been challenging to me. Maybe I need to find a spot on my wall to put a white board so I can keep notes! Hmmm...the wheels are turning. I know that white board is important to a lot of successful Avon team leaders, so perhaps it is time I got one too. I think I need to do a little online shopping today.

Top Ten in Sales

 1. Rebecca Robertson
 2. Sheila Benz
 3. Rene Parker  PC
 4. Susanne Walters
 5. Barbie Breen
 6. Maria Loza
 7. Kathy McAlpin
 8. Kim Mitchell
 9. Steffanie Erdelt
10. Brenda Taylor

It is rather nice to always have a Top Ten now, since there are always at least 10 reps. with orders of $100 or over, and I don't put you on the list unless your sales are at least $100. Most of the ones who made the cut this campaign had sales over $150!

Here are a few statistics for our team, as of the close of C16:

  • Unit Sales were $3,659
  • 32 Orders placed
  • 27 Reps. with no orders
  • 10 Reps past due  -  (Not good. This costs Avon money, which means less money for us all.)
  • 53 Total Representatives on our team
  • 5 New appointments
  • 1 Removal  -  (Removals can reinstate themselves for up to a year.)

Those who were blessed with Direct Delivery orders this campaign were: Barbie Breen, Paige Coffman (the leader with $118 in DD sales), Angelique Ortiz, Rene Parker (with $1,030 in DD sales YTD), and Caroline McCullough.

There are three new Cloud Climbers that I have not introduced to you yet, and those would be: Bridget Nabors of Quinton, Alabama, April Moore of Elkmont, Alabama, and Katie Peden of Ashland City, Tennessee. We want to warmly welcome you to our great team, Avon ladies!

The Spotlight is on April Moore this campaign. April came to Avon on July 18 of this year and should have a first order in Campaign 17. Here is part of what she told me about herself: "I am 31 years old, a stay at home mom, and have known my husband for 20 years. We have been together for 6 years and married for 3 years. I have 4 children ranging from in age from 12 1/2 years old down to baby Raelyn, who is just 3 weeks old. We live in Elkmont, Alabama, where I was born and raised, and my husband works for Steelcase in Athens. My step-grandmother sold Avon during the whole of my childhood and I remember playing with her samples of lipstick as a little girl. I would always help her sort the items as they came in and she tipped me a dollar every 2 weeks. Oh, the memories of this! I want to sell Avon for the extra money, since I don't work." Well, April, you are working now! Your comment reminds me of a motto you will hear from other successful representatives - "You need to treat Avon as a business, not as a hobby, if you want to make money!"

I need to hear from more of you with some info so I can keep doing the Spotlight. Don't make me have to call you! ;) Here's another mini spotlight: Breanna Storey, one of our newest reps., got married in the past two weeks, so she is now Breanna Bryant. Congratulations on your marriage, Breanna!

Here are a couple of snips from the Recognition Board for my district where the names of Cloud Climbers appear. Steffanie Erdelt is #7 in Sales Increase for non-President's Club members, and Gladys Faulk is #9 in Sales for non-President's Club members. That's out of about 500 representatives!! It could be that some of you not in my district are appearing on your own district recognition boards, and if you are, I'd certainly like to know about it so that I can properly honor you in a future newsletter. You can check to see by going to YA, the heading on the far right that says "My Community," then "My District," and then "Recognition." I hope all of your DSMs are keeping those boards up to date, or it could be that Avon keeps them up to date. Anytime you see your name on a board, please let me know!

I've been adding some short training videos to the Cloud Climbers Avon Unit group page on Facebook, and have sent out a couple of those by email as well. I did a new one on figuring tax on customer orders, and I won't be emailing it unless you request it. If you are on FB and haven't sent me a friend request so you could be added to the group, my link is https://www.facebook.com/sandra.l.moore.

I was cleaning out some old files and came across a packet of tips. These were from representatives in the days before we were using the internet, so there won't be any with tips for online selling, but they are still good tips. I'll include a few here and then add some to the Cloud Climbers FB page over the next few days or weeks.

Tips:
"I recycle old brochures by putting a sticker on the front that says "If you want a current brochure, please call me at ..."

"When I notice we have new owners in the neighborhood, I leave a 'Welcome' packet from Avon. This is usually a little hanging bag (our What's New bags in the supplies section on YA) with the latest brochure, a small bubble bath (we don't have those anymore, but a lip balm would do as well), and a welcome note from me. When they call to thank me, I usually get an order too."

"I keep a cologne sample in with my money. When I pay for something, it is amazing how many people ask why my money smells so good. I offer them a sample, a brochure, and a business card. I've gotten a lot of sales this way."

"I like to wear 10 shades of nail color - one color per finger - as a live demo to show customers how they look. It always makes for a fun consultation and encourages business."

That's all for now, folks. Call me or email me with any questions you have or any ways I can help you further your business. I appreciate you!

Terrific Tuesday - Anew Clinical Extra Strength Retexturizing Peel

Since Redbook has declared our Anew Clinical Extra Strength Retexturizing Peel one of its 2016 Most Valuable Products*, I thought it would be a good time to include it in my Terrific Tuesday product posts.

We introduced Anew Clinical Retexturizing Peel a number of years ago and it has been a top seller ever since. This spring Avon updated the product with more of the active ingredients, so you can get the original peel or the extra strength peel, our most concentrated peel ever. With this product you get an at-home professional-grade treatment to help retexturize and resurface your skin in one easy step. The new patented resurfacing complex goes beyond exfoliation with a complex of 5 acids to provide multiple benefits for every skin type.

Benefits:
  • Reveals a fresher, smoother, more radiant look
  • Improves texture and radiance
  • Minimizes the appearance of sun spots, fine lines, and post-acne marks
  • Contains alpha hydroxy acid (AHA)
  • Oil-free
  • Dematologist-tested and allergy-tested
  • Noncomedogenic

To Use:
  • Every other day, AM or PM, smooth the textured side over cleansed, dry face and follow with preferred Anew treatment and moisturizer.

Made in the USA!

*The MVP will appear in an upcoming issue of Redbook.

Terrific Tuesday - Introducing SSS Supreme Nourishment Triple Phase Body Oil!

I'm getting my Terrific Tuesday post written early so I don't run out of time, since I have much work to do today. I'm expecting to cut off my home internet service tonight after I turn in my Campaign 16 order, and will be without it for several days before the new service can be set up. Eeeek! That is going to be hard for me, since I have been spending a lot of time sitting here at my desktop working with my team and my customers, writing for this blog and my Facebook business page, pining Avon products to my Pinterest boards, etc. Perhaps I'll get caught up on some of my non-internet activities while it is down.

The Campaign 17 brochure begins with 17 pages dedicated to our updated Skin So Soft product line. Most of the products remain the same, just in new packaging, but there are a couple of changes. First, the Signature Silk line is getting a name change to Radiant Moisture. I'm quite happy about this change, because when I'm writing down an order I often abbreviate the product names and I have had to be sure not to put down SSS SS for both Signature Silk and for Soft & Sensual, leaving me not knowing which product line the customer was ordering from.

The second change is the introduction of Skin So Soft Supreme Nourishment Triple Phase Body Oil, with 3 Precious Oils layered to nourish, protect, and hydrate skin. This is Avon's first unique blend of Argan, Babassu, and Macadamia oils to give skin an instant feeling of touchable softness that lasts throughout the day.

https://www.avon.com/product/56273/skin-so-soft-supreme-nourishment-triple-phase-oil
Triple Phase Body Oil is delightfully scented (macadamia & vanilla), dermatologist-tested, hypoallergenic, and suitable for daily use. Just shake the 6 fl. oz. bottle well to blend all three oils, pour a small amount into hand, and massage onto freshly cleaned skin. It absorbs quickly and is non-greasy.

You can purchase this wonderful new body oil at my eStore now!

(This is the newsletter I write for my team of Cloud Climbers at the close of each campaign. I'd love to have you join us!)

 Hello All!

How was your C15 order? Mine was a bit on the slack side, and I think it could have been that way for several others as well. Something about the "summer slump" when people are spending money on vacations or other important things. That's okay, though, because the 4th quarter will soon be upon us and those orders will be coming in much more regularly. One thing I noticed about my order this time was that close to half of those ordering were new customers or customers who were ordering for the first time in a long time that had not even been receiving brochures from me, but were still on my email list. Proof that 1) sending email reminders to customers/potential customers/former customers is a good idea, and 2) getting new customers every campaign is a good idea. Some of these new customers are finding me in online searches. Be sure that your eStore is set for both personal delivery and direct delivery, that you are turning in orders every campaign of at least $200, and that you are paying your Avon balance on time. I understand that those who do all those things are the ones Avon recommends when people do a search for a rep. in their area.

Since my orders are down right now, I decided to do a "Giveaway" for this campaign. When I sent my customer reminder out, I added a note that anyone who placed an order this campaign would be entered into a drawing for one of three products that I have in stock, valued at $30 or more. I have plenty of products I can use for this giveaway, and the value is based on the full price in the brochure, not what I paid for them. Since this is my personal business, I can do any type of contest or drawing like this that I want, and you can do the same if it helps you. I've already received several more orders since I sent my reminder.

Top 10 in Sales for C15
    (All with sales over $150!)

 1. Amaleia Ruble
 2. Rene Parker   PC    (Rene is half way to President's Club for this year. Congratulations, Rene!)
 3. Alisha Edwards
 4. Gladys Faulk
 5. Ruby Nunnery
 6. Susanne Walters
 7. Annie Watts
 8. Sheilia Smith
 9. Brenda Taylor
10. Carolyn King

When I did the newsletter for C14, I forgot to include a welcome to our newest team members. Therefore, I have several to welcome this time. :)  Susan Watkins and Pam Jones of Manchester, Tenn., Regina Salter of Guin, Ala., Malinda Lowry of Athens, Ala., Chelsea Cooper of Columbia, Tenn., Breanna Story of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., Tiffany Newman of Whitwell, Tenn., and Carol Whaley of Huntsville, Ala. Ladies, we are very happy to welcome all of you to Avon and to the Cloud Climbers Team!

I'm very happy to announce that we have two new Avon Promoters. You become a Promoter when you get your first recruit, and for a long time Susanne Walters was our only Promoter. Congratulations go to Rene Parker for recruiting Carol Whaley and to Chelsea Cooper for recruiting Breanna Story. Chelsea didn't have to work too hard to get Breanna, she just put on her Facebook profile that she was a new representative the same morning she became one and her friend Breanna commented "I've always wanted to do this but didn't know how." I gave her Chelsea's personal link, and the next day she became Chelsey's first recruit! That's proof positive that you need to make everyone you know aware in every way that you can that you can get them started with their Avon business. If you need any help with ideas on how to do this, please contact me.

Rene Parker already has the personal sales needed ($200) to become a Silver Leader as soon as she can get two more recruits so that she can have a minimum of 3 first generation orders.
I have been a Gold Ambassador since the beginning of this program and to move to Leader as my next step I must have one Silver Ambassador. Therefore, I am working with Rene to get recruits for her in several ways. (Below is just the top section of the Leadership earnings chart so you can see what I mean.) I'll be happy to help others on my team move forward in Leadership as well, but anyone who wants to do so must get their first recruit themselves. I have to see that you are putting forth effort to build your own team, and I cannot build it for you.

Direct Delivery sales from eStores this campaign:  Paige Coffman and Rene Parker - whose DD sales were $205! Wow!

Awards since the last newsletter:

  • Christy Diviney: 1st Campaign Sample Bundle & 40% Discount
  • Alisha Edwards: 4th Campaign Sample Bundle & 40% Discount, PRP New Rep 25 Points, PRP Contender 100 Points, and Bonus Product Bundle!
  • Kathy McAlpin: 2nd Campaign Sample Bundle & 40% Discount
  • Kim Mitchell: 4th Campaign Sample Bundle & 40% Discount, Bonus Product Bundle!
  • Angelique Ortiz: PRP New Rep 25 Points
  • Rebecca Robertson: 3rd Campaign Bundle & 40% Discount
  • Amelia Ruble: 4th Campaign Bundle & 40% Discount
  • Sheilia Smith: 2nd Campaign Bundle & 40% Discount
  • Susan Watkins: 1st Campaign Bundle & 40% Discount

Seeing all these rewards as most of our new Cloud Climbers hit most of their goals as new representatives makes me so proud of my team!

I finally learned from some of the folks in my district how you can easily find out if you have credit with Avon and what your credit limit is. I should have asked for help with finding that information sooner. Here are the steps: 1) When you sign in to youravon.com, click on the heading "Sales Leadeship." 2) In the grey area on the left side of the screen, click on "New Representative Supports" at the bottom. 3) Click on "New Representative Center" when it pops up below the New Rep. Supports. 4) Scroll down to see "Your Initial Credit Limit."

Well, I believe this newsletter is long enough now, and I haven't been getting much feedback from you for my Spotlight, so I'll just skip that for this campaign. I have information from one new rep., so I'll feature her next campaign. Meanwhile, please send me just a few lines about yourself that I can use for future spotlights.

I'm heading out to a surprise birthday party for a friend in a few hours, and then Sunday will be very busy with worship and related activities, as it always is. I hope you have a great rest of the weekend as well!

Terrific Tuesday...On a Thursday! :)

Shades of Pogo! My Terrific Tuesday post has done come on a Thursday!! This was VBS week for us at the Madison church of Christ, so with that and a little extra work due to it being harvesting time in the garden, I'm a bit behind on posting. However, I don't want to miss highlighting one of Avon's products for you this week, so I'll just do it a couple of days late.

This non-greasy formula repairs cracked and dry feet and relieves suffering from calluses. It contains 4.00% Lidocaine and acts as an antiseptic and analgesic to sooth your pain and heal your feet fast. You can read the reviews on my eStore page, where the product received 4.5 stars. Some reviewers use it for hands, elbows, etc., in addition to feet. This product, along with all our Foot Works products, are great for those with diabetes who must be particularly careful about foot care.

Terrific Tuesday: Get the Wrinkles Out!

What's the one skincare concern that almost all women will share if they live long enough? Wrinkles! Now, there are some women of various national heritages that are blessed by nature with skin that does not wrinkle until quite late in life, if ever, so this post is not for them. Bless their hearts. ;) This post is for the women who at about age 35 look at their faces in the mirror one day and say "Ack! I'm getting wrinkles!" Those wrinkles may be so new and minor that others may not notice them, but the one who just discovered them may immediately want to do what she can to keep them at bay a little longer or at least minimize their appearance.

You can read about the causes of wrinkles in my previous blog posts titled ANEW Skin Care Guide - Part 1 and ANEW Skin Care Guide - Part 2, and you can go from there to ANEW Skin Care Guide - Part 3 to learn about the various ANEW products Avon offers. Three new ones were added after my those posts were written, and I wrote about them in my post titled The Game Changers! For this Terrific Tuesday article, I'm featuring the original ANEW Clinical product ----

Back in the 1940s, Avon introduced a violet-scented cream to women of America and thousands of them relied on this product to "keep their face and hands looking and feeling smooth, lovely, and petal-soft." Hmmm, a skin care product for both hands and face in the same jar. Not something you find often these days. Here's a pic of the product, as it looked back then:

Today, Avon carries many skin care products to address various concerns, and there are separate ones for face and hands. In Campaign 16, which will be live on my eStore on Thursday, July 7, (I'm jumping the gun just a little on this post), our original ANEW Clinical product, Advanced Wrinkle Corrector will be at 130th Anniversary Special price of $16.99 - the best offer you will find available ever. The product is infused with the power of Avon's Wrinkle-Reverse Technology, an advanced formula that helps diminish the look of wrinkles while it moisturizes dry skin. This product can be used morning or night, and does not contain SPF. It can be used as a moisturizer by itself, or you can follow it with your favorite ANEW moisturizer. It is a very lightweight cream with a soft, pleasant scent, and will leave your skin feeling soft and silky.

C14 Cloud Climbers Newsletter

(The newsletter I produce for my downline team each campaign. You can be one of them in 10 minutes or less by going to smoore.avonrepresentative.com/opportunity/start.)

Hello All!

Are you gearing up for the 4th of July? I'll be spending it my usual way, gathered with the church for a picnic on our parking lot and to watch the fireworks show produced by the city of Madison, Alabama. Someone had the idea a few years ago to invite everyone to bring food and picnic in the afternoon before watching the fireworks, since we have such a good view from our parking lot, and it has grown to be a major all church gathering. I'm not going to pray that it doesn't rain, though, because we need rain here so badly I'll be happy to have some whenever it comes.

In case you haven't seen it yet, (look on YA under "Fabulous 4th Rewards for Everyone") we have a new Direct Delivery order incentive for July 2 through 9. When your customers place orders of $100 or more, you will earn the new Far Away Infinity fragrance for women. Speaking of DD Orders, congratulations to four Cloud Climbers who had them in C14: Paige CoffmanCharisse FeltonRene Parker, and Darren Mannahan. I also had a few, and earned the last incentive before I even knew there was one! I believe I have suggested before that when you earn these incentives you can either use them yourself or offer them at a discount for your customers. You might also use them in a giveaway to encourage orders, such as telling customers they will gain an entry into a drawing for the product if they have an order of $20 or more within a campaign. Can you think of other ways to use free incentive products from Avon to build your business?

Top Ten in Sales for C14    --    We had 12 CCs with orders over $150 this campaign!!

You may recall a few newsletters back that I told you the "long timer" Cloud Climbers might soon be out-shown by some of our "newbies." Well, on this list of Top Ten in Sales for C14, 7 out of 10 of them have only been selling for 5 campaigns or less. I'm happy for all my Cloud Climbers to do well, but seeing new representatives get off to a great start is especially gratifying, because I know that building a business takes a lot of hard work. Way to go "newbies!" Keep up the good work and you will go far.

Those celebrating Avon Anniversaries in July are:  Diane Fowler, 3 years on July 20, and Angi Price, 4 years on July 23. Celebrating their Birthdays in July are: Patsy Cloud on July 11, Cheryl Webb on July 15, and Claire Philadelphia on July 23.

In The Spotlight this campaign is Pam Jones. Pam says she is excitedly waiting for the arrival of her kit and has already contacted many friends on Facebook to let them know she is a representative and give them a link to her eStore. Pam is the proud mother of one 37 year old son and is Nanny to her 10 year old granddaughter. She says she also has three grand girls who have adopted her as their Nanny, so she must be a very special lady for them to think that much of her. Pam runs a small alterations business in her home and works part time as a caregiver to a precious 92 year old lady. In her spare time she quilts and crochets, and donates most of her crocheted items to cancer treatment centers for chemo patients. Wow! Pam is a very busy lady, but busy ladies make great Avon Ladies.

So, who is ready to be spotlighted in the next newsletter? I need volunteers! I know people like to talk about themselves, and now is your chance to share a bit about your life. :)

Let me know if you are ready to add people to your own Avon team. Shana Fuller (my DSM), knows that I need a Silver Ambassador and she is ready to help when one of you in District 1139 is ready to start building, but we need to hear from you. If you are not in D1139, I feel certain the DSM in your district will be willing to help you as well, and you know I will.

Have a happy 4th of July !
