Cloud Climbers Team Newsletter - first for 2017!

(It's time to get back on track after the holidays! This is my team newsletter.)

Greetings Cloud Climbers!

I hope and pray that all of you will have a very happy new year! Be sure to start it off right by being careful tonight if you are out and about, because we all know that this can be the most dangerous night of the year for being on the road. Personally, I plan to be right here safe at home this evening and get to bed early in order to be up bright and early for worship tomorrow.

Since I am combining these two newsletters, I had hoped to be able to report on the top 10 in sales for 2016 as a whole, but I've tried and tried to come up with those figures from my VIBE, (the reporting method Avon uses to let us know who is doing what on our teams) but the system had already rolled to 2017 on the Cycle To Date info and I cannot figure out a way to go back to 2016. Phooey!! I do know that Rene Parker was #1 in sales for the year, because she is the only Cloud Climber to make President's Club once again. Hurray for your hard work Rene, and for staying in PC for another year!! I sure wish I could say who is #2 and #3 in sales for 2016, but alas, that info cannot be known by me at this time. I'll try to remember not to let this issue come up at the end of next year. Having C1 close out before the new year just threw everything off.

Although I dropped from Rose Circle back to Honor Society this year, I think that I ended up #2 in Sales for my district in 2016, and I'm also pretty sure I was #1 in Recruiting for my district, but Avon does not report those figures during the very end of the cycle so I can't be sure. I believe the reason for that is that they want to surprise us with the results at our President's Club Tribute, plus they are making sure that all records are accurate before that event. There have been times when people have tried to "beat the system" by ordering a lot of product to boost themselves to a certain level and then doing returns on those products. Not a good policy, but I know it has happened. In fact, until just a few campaigns ago there was a new name in the #2 place for sales in our district. She was someone I had never heard of who began her business around the middle of the year and was soaring to the top. Then just a few weeks ago we noticed that her name had totally disappeared from the top ten list. It was a bit strange, and I suspect that something fishy might have been going on there and she was found out. Perhaps I will ask our DSM when I see her.

Those with eStore sales for C25 and C26 were: Ashleigh Downey, Carolyn King, Darren Mannahan, April Moore, Rene Parker, Katie Peden, Angi Price, Wendy Reed, Sheilia Smith, Virginia Washington, and Susan Watkins. Interestingly enough, no one had an eStore sale during C1, including myself. For the year 2016, (for some reason I was able to still see these figures), I had $4,989.55 in eStore sales, Rene Parker had $1,634.23, Katie Peden had $713.54, and Darren Mannahan had $370.43. Those are the top three eStore sellers for our group in 2016.

We have lots of people celebrating Birthdays in January: Betty Allgood (1/4), Katie Peden (1/13), Yvonne Lassiter (1/15), Callista Motter (1/21), Angela Turley (1/21), Susan Watkins (1/25), and Jennifer Malone (1/28). We only have one Avon Anniversary for January, and that would be Patsy Cloud, who celebrates 16 years as an Avon Representative on the 13th.

I'd like to welcome the following new Avon Representatives to our team: Carlita Amos of Birmingham, AL, Paulette Maddox of Birmingham, AL, Lisa Anderson of Gardendale, AL, and Jennifer Malone of Mount Juliet, TN. We are happy to have you four Avon Ladies as part of the Cloud Climbers and we pray you will all have much success with your businesses in 2017 and beyond!

Have you made a new year's resolution to work harder on your Avon business than you did in 2016? I hope that you are making that your goal, or maybe I should say that I hope you have made a resolution to work your business more consistently. Every campaign I see a list of 20 to 30 or more Cloud Climbers who have not placed an order in that campaign. My number one tip for your success in your business in 2017 is to be consistent in ordering brochures each campaign, turning in an order each campaign, and being in contact with all your customers each campaign. You will not find a top selling representatives who does not place an order each campaign unless there is an emergency situation that comes up. It is very hard to build a good customer base if you only place an order every 3rd campaign or so, because customers do not expect to have to wait 6 weeks to receive the items they ordered!! If you cannot get items to them in a timely manner, they will find another representative who can or they will shop somewhere else. My number two tip for better sales in 2017 is to get more customers ordering skin care products from you. If you can convince customers to try our skin care products, especially the Anew products, you have great potential to build an excellent clientele that will stick with you for years.

Well, I've worked on this newsletter off and on all day, but I think it is about ready to send now. I hope there is something in it that will benefit you and encourage you. With my next newsletter I hope to get back to the Spotlight on a Cloud Climber, so please drop me a few lines about you and your business, your goals, your family, your pets, what you enjoy doing besides Avon, etc., if I have not yet put you in the Spotlight!
