C22 Cloud Climbers Unit Newsletter

(This is my newsletter for my downline team members. I produce a new one every two weeks to encourage and motivate them toward new heights. If you would like to be a Cloud Climber too, it's very easy. Go here to get started today, or here to learn more about how the business works.)

Happy Friday!!

I know a lot of you, most of you in fact, work at full time jobs in addition to your Avon business, and most of those jobs do not involve weekend work, so I guess you get excited about Fridays. Since Avon is my full time job, Fridays are not such a big deal for me. I actually love Mondays, because those are generally my days to get the house back in order from the busy weekend and work on different business things at home. Today and tomorrow I'm mostly getting the house in order for a gathering of Seed Sowers from church that will be meeting at our house Sunday night. We haven't had a big group here in awhile, so the clutter has gotten a bit much and must be organized somewhat. :)

This has been a busy week for me Avon wise, because I have added several new customers and it looks like my order will be at least double what it was last campaign - which was a low one. It seems that people are getting into the Christmas shopping mood and I'm thankful they are doing some of that shopping with me!
I hope your C23 order is a good one as well. If things go according to plan, I'll have my customer reminder out to you before the day is over.

Top 10 in Sales for C22

1. Susanne Walters   PC
(She came close to beating me this campaign!
 2. Barbie Breen
 3. Ruby Nunnery
 4. Rene Parker   PC
 5. Maria Loza
 6. Magalis Justiniano
 7. Steffanie Erdelt
 8. Brenda Taylor
 9. Candice Haze   NEW
10. Darren Mannahan

Congratulations to Candice Haze for making it into the Top 10 in Sales for her first campaign, and for hitting the Hit $100 Challenge for her first campaign! I appreciate Candice for being goal oriented and even asking me what goal I had set for her for the next campaign. My goal is for her to Hit $100 for her first 5 campaigns and earn the $100 bonus and I expect she will do it too, because she is a hard worker. For making the first campaign goal she earned a product/sample bundle. I'm not sure what is in that, but I know it will be good Avon stuff including items she can use to continue to build her business.

Three Cloud Climbers had Direct Delivery orders this campaign: Candice Haze, Rene Parker, and Susanne Walters. Congratulations ladies! I'm sure that more of you could be getting these DD orders if you promoted your pages. Don't you think so? Come on! Give it a try!!

I saw four Cloud Climbers on the District Recognition page for C22: Susanne Walters is #8 in Recruiting, Maria Loza is #4 in Sales Increase of Non-PC members, Steffanie Erdelt is #8 in the same category, and Ruby Nunnery is #5 in Sales for Non-PC members. I love seeing my team members on these lists!

In cleaning up my house this morning, I ran across some materials from an Avon meeting I attended some time ago with some business strategy tips that I want to share with you. I'll share one in this newsletter and others in the next couple of newsletters.

Business Strategy. Try to add at least one new customer every campaign.
A common mistake business owners in direct selling make is selling to the same 5-10 customers (usually family and friends) each business cycle. The problem is that the same customers do not always place consistent orders every campaign. The only way to win is to have new customers every campaign. If only 30%
(which is about the average percentage for most representatives) of your customers order out of a customer base of 10, that is only 3 customer orders. You know you are in business when you begin to interact with people you don't know. As a business owner, challenge yourself to build a new business by adding new customers every campaign. Here are a few tips for doing this:
  • Order an Avon badge with your name on it from Town & Country on the YourAvon home page under "Avon Advantage Partners," and then wear it wherever you go that it is appropriate - shopping, delivering orders, ball games, out to eat, etc.
  • Put a sticker on your vehicle with your Avon information. You can get these from Town & Country as well.
  • Wear Avon logo items from Town & Country.
  • Ask me for a button that says something like "Hello. I'm the Avon Lady." I have a few of these that I can share.
  • Carry one or two extra brochures with you and have them sticking out of your purse if possible. Put a sticky note on the front of each one and when you give one to a new person, write their name and number on the sticky note and keep it so you can call them for an order.
  • Every time you meet someone new, be sure to work into the conversation that you are an Avon Representative and offer them a brochure if they don't ask you for one first.
  • Do cold calling if you aren't too shy. (And if you are too shy, get over it! ;] ) Just find a neighborhood near you, perhaps even your own, and go door to door if soliciting is allowed there. You don't have to ring the bell if you aren't willing to be that "pushy," just leave a brochure with your contact info at the door. It's always best to get contact info from the people you leave books with, but this works for using older brochures you might have left over from the previous two campaigns.
  • I recently wrote a note to go into Swag Bags for the Gingerbread Marketplace that will be taking place on November 14. I won't be at the event, in fact I'll be at another event in Providence, but they offered the opportunity to put items into 150 swag bags for only $10 and I accepted the offer. I'll let you know later if I get any orders or recruits from that event. I wrote the note as "$$ Be a Smartee and Shop From Your Seat Not Your Feet $$" and attached my business card and a roll of Smartee candies to each one. I am attaching that flyer to this newsletter in case you want to change it to make it suitable for your own use. You can use it without the candy attached as an insert for brochures you hand out to new people, which is what I am doing with it now.

I'd better close out this newsletter and get on to my Customer Reminder so I can meet my own goals for the day. Let me know if I can help you with your business in any way. Or just call me to say "hi" if you like and to let me know that you read this newsletter. :) Also, please take a look at the District 1139 Facebook page now and then, as well as our own Cloud Climbers FB page. If you have any tips for the other reps. in either of those groups, we'd sure like for you to share them.

♪ Oh! What a Beautiful Morning! Oh! What a Beautiful Day! ♫

Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah has been one of my favorite songs since I was just a wee little thing and heard it for the first time. It's a perfect day for singing it here in North Alabama and I'm about to head out to enjoy the beautiful weather while I get some Avon brochures into the hands of some new potential customers or recruits.

Today is Avon's National Promoter Day, which means we are all working to help the representatives in our groups who have never helped their friends to get started in Avon businesses do that today! Avon has some nice incentives to encourage us to build our teams, and right now we are working with Journey to Gold. An Avon Representative who signs her first successful recruit gets a great product bundle and then she gets $35 for each successful recruit thereafter, plus a percentage of the sales of her team once she has total team sales of $1,000 or more. Take a look at the plan:

Not a bad deal is it? And it's something that even those who have never started an Avon business can get in on. Do you need to make some extra money for the holidays? Are you interested in doing your own holiday shopping at a great discount? Do you know someone who would also be interested in those two things? Contact me today and you can both get started, or just go to smoore.avonrepresentative.com/opportunity/start and you can start yourself in about 10 minutes. Once you get started and set up your eStore, you'll have a code to use to get your friend started as your first team member. Simple, isn't it? You can read more about the business here, or send me a message and I'll call you to talk about the opportunity. Oh, and for your $15 sign up fee you will receive Avon products valued at more than $15, so you have nothing to lose and money to gain by giving this business a try. I've been an Avon Lady for more than 28 years, so you know there must a very good reason I've stayed the course.

C21 Cloud Climbers Newsletter

This is the newsletter I write for my downline every two weeks. If you would like to become a Cloud Climber and get in on the fun, just click here.

Greetings!

I decided to turn my newsletter a little "fallish" since this is my favorite season of the year. I don't know if all of you will be able to see the colors within it, but I can see them as I type and they make me feel good, so perhaps if you see them you will enjoy them as well.

We had a great Open House/Business Meeting at the Sheraton on October 6 and learned a lot about upcoming promotions and products. It was a lot of fun reconnecting with other representatives I usually only get to talk to on Facebook as well. Some of us have been friends for many years, and some I got to know for the first time. I saw one Cloud Climber there, Deborah Williams. Thanks for coming, Deborah! If any others were there, please let me know. Our next chance to get together will be the Christmas party, so watch for notification of that coming from Shana when she returns from vacation. Avon has told her that we will be able to have meetings once each quarter next year, so that will be nice. If you are not already keeping up with the FB group for our district (https://www.facebook.com/groups/438840372896616/) you should check that and mark that you want to receive notifications when things are posted. Also, don't miss out on this group, which I believe I have written to you about before: https://www.facebook.com/groups/AvonFlyersByAlicia/. It's great for getting flyers to use with your business and new ones are posted almost every day.

Here is one of the best opportunities available to you right now. In fact, it was mentioned several times at the meeting that this is a perfect time for new representatives or representatives who have never been a part of Avon Leadership. You can just click on the link on your home page that looks like this -

and refer a friend to Avon. Go ahead, click on it, see what you can win just for referring one friend to become an Avon representative. In fact, I'll show you here...

And this is how it works...

So...you don't have to officially "start a team," you don't have to "be a part of Avon Leadership," you only need to refer one friend to be rewarded. Neat, huh?!?

Top 10 in Sales for C21

 1. Rene Parker   PC
 2. Shawn Willie
 3. Lacey Harmon
 4. Barbie Breen
 5. Ruby Nunnery
 6. Susanne Walters   PC
 7. Magalis Justiniano
 8. Darren Mannahan
 9. Steffanie Erdelt
10. Annie Watts

Only one of you is reporting Direct Delivery orders this campaign, and that would be Rene Parker. Congratulations on excellent promoting of your eStore, Rene! Rene is our top Cloud Climber in DD orders for the Year to Date. Here is the complete list of those with DD sales this year:

Direct Delivery Orders for 2015 YTD

 1. Rene Parker   PC
 2. Darren Mannahan
 3. Susanne Walters   PC
 4. Virginia Washington
 5. Carolyn King
 6. Caroline McCullough
 7. Barbie Breen
 8. Patricia Rodgers
 9. Ashley Baldwin
10. Benetta Staten
11. Maria Loza
12. Ruby Nunnery
13. Suheidy Colon
14. Nikia Banks
15. Kneeland Ford

It's great to see this many with DD order activity for this year, but that is only 15 out of more than 40 representatives. For the year. That means that more than half of my Cloud Climbers are missing out on orders from customers who want to do their shopping online and have orders shipped directly to themselves either because they don't live near you or just find it more convenient. So...are you promoting your eStore? Do you put it on every brochure that you pass out? Do you have it in your signature on emails you send out - not just to customers but to family, friends, and acquaintances? Have you selected on Web Office to have your customers receive promotional emails? Those are good ways to let everyone know that your eStore is open for business. And did you know that there are certain items that are only available at your eStore? These include three exclusive ornaments from Disney coming up in just a few weeks.

Celebrating Birthdays in October are: Carolyn King, Lacey Harmon, Rebecca Rains, Dot Kelly, Kelly Whipple, Maria Loza, and Rene Parker.

October is a big month for Avon Anniversaries, because the beginning of the Christmas selling season is a great time to start an Avon business. That's why its a great time to Refer a Friend to Avon. (See above promotion.) Celebrating anniversaries this month are: Lois Johnson (Oct 8, 25 years), Caroline McCullough (Oct 15, 2 years), Rebecca Rains (Oct 16, 8 years), Ramona Hyman (Oct 17, 1 year), Kelly Whipple (Oct 22, 1 year), Annie Watts (Oct 22, 5 years), Amy Odell (Oct. 24, 4 years), Shawn Willie (Oct 26, 8 years), Barbie Breen (Oct 27, 22 years). I wonder how many of these became Avon representatives with the idea of only selling for a short while and ended up staying with us for years? I know that happens quite often!

Have you seen notification from Avon about Double Dollars in Award Sales for Anew products in C23 and all beauty products (skin care, makeup, bath & body, fragrance) in C26? In case you don't understand how that works, you do not earn more money on those products, but Avon credits you with double the sales on those products. That means that if you are close to making Presidents Club (Rene Parker, Ruby Nunnery, Susanne Walters) you have a good chance at making it. That would effect your earnings for next year, as you would be guaranteed 40% on regular products and 25% on fixed earnings products for the entire year. For myself, I fully expect to be back in Rose Circle at the end of this cycle and I'm pretty pumped up about that!!

I hope you each have a great weekend. Ask me any questions you have about anything I have written here or anything about the Avon business and promotions you don't understand. I leave you with this motivational slide from our meeting on Tuesday:

Make a Difference with the Pink Issue!

By now almost every woman in America knows that October is breast cancer awareness month. Since the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade launched in 1992, Avon breast cancer programs in more than 50 countries have donated over $800 million to advance research and fund access to care. We've also enabled more than 18 million women globally to receive free mammograms and breast cancer screenings, and educated more than 145 million women. Avon's commitment will continue to remain steadfast until breast cancer is eradicated.

This October, visit avonfoundation.org to learn about the common factors that can influence your personal breast cancer risk. We'll teach you not only about your risk, but also what actions you can take starting today.

Our Campaign 22 brochure is our pink issue, and Avon will donate 20% of net profits on sales from special pink pages to the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade. Here are the pages to look for:

www.youravon.com/smoore
All of our fragrances by Fergie, including new Outspoken Party (featured on page 5 of the brochure), are also included in the items that Avon will donate part of the purchase price to the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade.

In addition to donations on purchases of these Avon products during C22, donations will be made from purchases of these Pink Ribbon products anytime.

Hi ho! Hi ho! It's back to work I go!!

Whew! I had extreme internet issues for a week, but I am finally able to WORK!! Oh, I could work from a tablet or my phone, but it just isn't the same, or as easy, as working from my own dear desktop computer at my own dear desk. So this is a blog of thankfulness to be able to work with my blog, my Pinterest boards, my Facebook business page, my email backlog, and my Avon business page. My order comes tomorrow and now I can do the invoices on the computer rather than writing them all out by hand. That is a relief in itself! And I can finally get the letters printed for my Bible Correspondence Course students too. Don't we depend on internet service a lot? And to think that less than 30 years ago we weren't even using it. Our teenagers and those younger can't even imagine such a world.

I hope you have a great first day of October! The weather here is perfectly "Fall-ish" today and I have my window open and have brought out the pumpkin scented body spray Avon sold a few years ago. I sure wish they would bring this one back to the Naturals line. For now, though, we do have two nice fall scents - Fresh Orchard Apple and Comforting Fig. They will only be around for a limited time, so don't delay in purchasing.

https://www.avon.com/brochure#/1/201522/en/152

As everyone knows, October is breast cancer awareness month. The best recommendation I can make is to do a self exam every month. I'm trying to make it a point to do my own. I think I'll mark that on my Teux Deux list on the first of the next several months so that I don't forget. Avon does their part to help make a difference, and they have a new contest going for the month. Hop over to my eStore to enter by clicking on the linked picture here.
