Merry Christmas!!

Merry Christmas to all!

I took a short break from blogging due to the pressures of getting items delivered to all my customers prior to Christmas, including the customers who order through the ALANA fundraiser each year. I do that fundraiser to help the foster children supported by Agape of North Alabama twice a year, and it is always a rewarding but challenging event. Imagine having your house overrun with Avon products just as others are beginning to do their Christmas decorating. My decorating gets done in bits and pieces, and my daughter was still hanging ornaments on the tree last night. Today I hope to get a few presents wrapped and put under it!

I still have one or two deliveries to do today, if possible, and some last minute shopping to do. We are going to have a warm Christmas this year, and I really don't mind it too much since we had a few very cold days when I could wear my Christmas sweaters. Tomorrow we go to Tennessee to gather with my hubby's family, Sunday is worship and time at home, and Monday we gather close by with extended family for a good Christmas meal and fine fellowship and games.

I'm combining my downline newsletters for C26 and C1, and will get that written and posted next week. Then I hope to be back on track with my regular blogs, because Avon has some exciting new products coming up as well as a new program for beginning representatives starting soon. The biggest news in Avon for 2017 should be the introduction of a health and wellness section to our wonderful product lineup. I'm pretty pumped up about that!

Do you follow my blog but not my Facebook business page? I post more often there, and share a helpful video now and then. I also post new products on Pinterest, although I fell quite behind on my posting there during the Christmas selling season due to the reasons mentioned in the first paragraph of this post. Some things just have to take a back burner to keep me from burning the candle at both ends during this hectic time of year. I'll get back on track with that next week as well.

I hope you have a very merry Christmas and a wonderful and prosperous new year. Let me know if there is any way I can help you with your Avon needs or questions. I'm here to serve!!

p.s. If you are taking advantage of a little time off from your regular duties and beginning "the New Year's purge," you might want to add your makeup to the purge list. I'll write more about that early in the New Year, but if you are starting early... Avon True Color makeup is better than ever and waiting for you in my eStore.

Campaign 25 Cloud Climbers Unit Newsletter

(This is the newsletter I produce for my team at the close of each campaign.)

Season's Greetings, Cloud Climbers!

I hope all of you have been having a great week. I went and scheduled a routine medical procedure for this morning, and why I decided that the middle of my busiest month of the year was the right time for that, I do not know! I think the anesthesia has about worn off now, so maybe I won't make too many mistakes in this newsletter.

I'm sharing the Top Ten in Sales in a little different way this campaign, because I want you to see what I saw when I pulled up the report a few minutes ago...

Yes! Rene Parker outsold me this campaign!! I'm tickled to see that, because it doesn't happen as often as I wish it would. I'm always proud to see my Cloud Climbers doing well, so you can outsell me anytime and I'll be happy for you. A number of years ago I had another team member, Karen K., who outsold me routinely, but she gave up her business after a move across town, job change, etc. Because Rene is now within $400 of making PC again this year and we have double dollar award sale on beauty products in C26, I'm confident that she will reach that goal.

Here are another couple of charts that you might be interested in, showing a comparison between our team sales and our team size for 2015 and 2016.

I had hoped we could increase our team size to 100 members before the end of the year, but we won't make that goal...until 2017! By the end of 2017, we WILL have a team of at least 100 members, Lord willing. For now, additions have slowed just a bit. I still received leads regularly, but most are just searching for information about businesses and have not taken the plunge yet. All my leads are kept in an email file and I contact them about once a month to encourage them to give Avon a try.

We added one new representative during the last campaign, so I would like to welcome Betty Allgood of Hendersonville, Tennessee, to the Cloud Climbers. We wish you many happy days and happy sales as a Beauty Boss, Betty!

Birthdays for December include: Gladys Faulk, Tawana Frails, Susanne Walters, Jennifer Shearer, Amaleia Ruble, Maria Lopez, Lakeesha Acklin, and Lois Johnson. Happy birthday to all you fine Avon ladies! Celebrating an Avon Anniversary in December is Suheidy Colon, who began her business 4 years ago today! Happy Avon Anniversary, Suheidy!

Are you planning to attend the Christmas party for your district, if there is one? Avon is not having "official" Christmas parties, but I know that our district has one planned, so I assume yours might too. I encourage you to take the opportunity to attend any functions that are scheduled for your district so that you can get to know the Avon representatives in your area. These are your Avon sisters and brothers and knowing them can be beneficial to your business and to theirs, as we all work together toward our goals.

It seems like every few days I am seeing people post on various Avon Facebook group pages that they have been contacted by a potential customer with a large order, etc., etc., etc. I'm going to get back to sending fraud alert warnings to new Cloud Climbers as one of their first emails from me, but for those who have not been made aware of how people try to defraud representatives of all sorts of home based businesses, please go to yourAvon.com and look on your home page, near the bottom, under My Account, where it says Fraud Prevention Info. You'll find all the information there that you need to be able to recognize these frauds and not get caught up in them.

The most exciting news we've heard from Avon recently is that RepFest 2017 will be held in Nashville this year. I must confess that I have never been to a convention of Avon Representatives, and one reason is because they have all been far away. I imagine that with it being this close, I just may make it this year, and I hope that some of you will as well. Be watching for more details as time goes by, and keep the dates of August 5-7 open on your calendar.

Here's a Tip from me that I feel certain I have shared before, but at this time of year it is particularly helpful. We all know how disappointing it can be when items we have ordered do not come in on schedule. Sometimes they are reported as sold out and sometimes they show as coming after Christmas. Our regular orders are processed and shipped from the Avon facility in Zanesville, Ohio, but there are other Avon facilities around the country as well. I don't know where our orders placed at our eStores are processed, but sometimes when something is reported as sold out or on backorder through our regular ordering method, those items will be available at our eStores. You can check to see if the items are there, use whatever Coupon code is available for a discount, free gift, or free shipping, and order the item yourself from your own eStore. You will have to pay for the item at the Customer Price, because you are your own customer in this case, and then Avon will credit your account (or whatever method you have set up for payment) for your earnings on the sale. If you do this, just be sure that you contact Avon in the way printed right under your "Items Not Available This Campaign" list on your invoice to cancel the item so you don't end up with two of them.

Have a great weekend!

p.s. I forgot to include this info in my newsletter when I sent it out to my team by email, but there were 11 Cloud Climbers who had orders at their eStores this campaign. I believe that is a record for our team, so I want to congratulate Ashleigh Downey, Carolyn King, Darren Mannahan, Rene Parker, Katie Peden, Angi Price, Wendy Reed, Sheilia Smith, Virginia Washington, and Susan Watkins for their eStore sales.

♪ Christmas Time's a' Comin' ♫

I know I don't have to tell you that the Christmas buying season is the busiest of the year for those of us who are selling. And some of us, (me!), also work on fundraisers during this time of the year. I'm lucky if I get my own Christmas shopping and decorating done in time for the festivities, but I enjoy it all!!

I've been doing a fundraiser for ALANA (Association of Ladies for Agape of North Alabama) twice a year for more than 20 years. The orders have been submitted for the fundraiser and will be arriving in just a few days, so things will get extra busy and the house will be overrun with Avon products while I sort, bag, and arrange them to be delivered to the sellers. Orders totaled approximately $2,500, so this group, which I am happy to be a part of, will have a nice chunk of earnings to be used to help the foster children of Agape of North Alabama.

Of course, I'm also working hard to get brochures out and meet my own customers' needs for Christmas, along with supporting my Cloud Climbers team members as they work with their businesses. Speaking of getting brochures out, we are finally seeing an end to the drought across the southeast states, and more rain is on the way later today. So....I must get ready to head out to deliver orders and brochures before it comes! I may not be getting much time to blog over the next few weeks, but don't get worried that I'm giving up on blogging about my business. There will be a lot more information to share about Avon products and the Avon business and I'll be sharing it as time permits.

Don't forget to take a look at the Coupon Codes tab to see current codes for savings, free gifts, or free shipping at my eStore.  Right now we are in the midst of 12 Days of Deals, with 20% of a $45 order for Day 4 - Today only!!

Sparkle Like a Boss!

Have you seen the #BossLife commercials and ads that Avon has put out recently? We are excited about being our own bosses with our Avon businesses, and Avon is excited about helping us achieve our goals! Here is the newest incentive they are offering us:

Now is the time to get started with your Avon business, so you can be a #beautyboss before Christmas. Wouldn't your very own business be a great present for yourself and your family? If you get started now you can take advantage of discounts on your own Christmas shopping as well as the money you can earn when your friends/family/customers do their shopping through you. Then, after Christmas, you'll be ready to work toward earning this sparkle, which you can proudly wear when you are out and about as a beautiful way to advertise your business and gain even more customers. I definitely intend to meet these goals and earn both pieces to wear together!

C24 Cloud Climbers Team Newsletter

Happy Thanksgiving!!

I'll be with my family in northwest Huntsville, AL, tomorrow to celebrate the day. It's our favorite day of the year! I hope that each of you will be able to be with family as well, and I hope that we will all remember to thank God daily for the blessings He gives us all. Among other blessings, I am thankful for the blessing that you all are to me!

Top Ten in Sales for C24

 1. Rene Parker  PC
 2. Alisha Edwards
 3. Ashleigh Downey  NEW
 4. Steffanie Erdelt
 5. Mary Waters
 6. Kristi Strode
 7. Ruby Nunnery
 8. Rebecca Robertson
 9. Judith Lea
10. Lakeesha Acklin

I know Rene is proud of her new team member, Lakeesha, for making the top ten list in her second campaign.

Top Three in Sales Year to Date

 1. Rene Parker  PC   $8,082
 2. Susanne Walters   $5,959
 3. Ruby Nunnery       $5,558

Rene's sales are slightly ahead of where they were last year at this point, so I feel confident that she will make President's Club again this year, especially with the Double Dollars in Award Sales opportunity in C26. I was really hoping that a few more Cloud Climbers would be joining us at the PC Tribute for this year, but it appears that will not be the case. However, with C1 we all start over again, so let's get our plans in place for the new year. Onward we go and next year we will do it!!

Things slowed down a bit on the recruiting side over the past couple of weeks, so we only added one new team memberHelen Keeton of Jasper, Alabama. Welcome to the Cloud Climbers team, Helen. We are thankful to have you!

If I calculated correctly, there are 21 Cloud Climbers who qualify for the incentive shown below, because they started their businesses less than 6 campaigns (12 weeks) ago. (Debbie, Alison, Rosanna, Jackie, Nicole, Jacquelyn, Jennifer, Ashleigh, Donna, Starla, Ayanna, Judith, Lydia, Maria, Olivia, Lakeesha, Wendy, Mamie, Arletha, Angela, and Mary.) I hope you ladies are working hard to promote your eStore and bring in $25 or more orders. The opportunity is great, because there will be 10 winners!! Remember, the orders have to be placed between Nov. 18 and Dec. 16, so get on the ball spreading your eStore link far and wide.

The Spotlight is on Rosanna Cassidy, who shared this information with me: "I grew up in a farming community west of Indianapolis and moved to Nashville when I was 16. I love Nashville and always have. I am single with no children. I work for Vanderbilt Medical Center and celebrated my 30th anniversary this past September. I am a nurse and I do insurance precertification for elective surgeries. I work from home and that is the most awesome part of the job. I have sold Avon before and for many years enjoyed it. My department went under new management in 2011 and there has been a lot of overtime in my life since then. It's still going on but not as bad. I have been talking to friends/former customers for the past few months and every one is ready for me to start selling again. I am looking forward to being involved with Avon again and serving my customers. When I was a little girl my mom had an Avon lady who would come to the house. I can't even remember her name, but I have a crystal clear memory of her turquoise travel case that contained all of her samples. I was in awe! I would do anything if my mom would agree to let me be there when she came to visit. So, I have been an Avon fan since way back when. I also like to garden and I like to travel. I went to Costa Rica in May to visit a friend who retired down there and we had so much fun! I have one bad kitty cat name Gustav who is spoiled completely rotten. He is a character. He was my neighbor's cat and there were two small children and another cat in his house. I guess it just wasn't working for him. He ran into my house and I let him visit because I thought it was hilarious. Next thing you know, he decides my house is working for him! Fortunately, his owner thought it was funny and we all agreed he was my cat."  Thanks for sharing, Rosanna! I'll need another CC for the next Spotlight. Will it be you? Send me a little info about yourself and your goals and it can be.

I need to get on with my Thanksgiving shopping and cooking, so I will close with just one tip this time:

"I include order forms (which I create as a Word document) with all my brochures. These forms help me stay organized and they help my customers keep track of what they are ordering." MZ  If you don't want to go to the trouble of creating a document, you can order the free order books (680-782 Supplies - Order Book) under "Order Sales Tools" on YA and take them apart to place a form in each brochure.

Take care, and may God bless you and yours!!

C25 Best Buys of the Brochure!

Here are some of the bargains I spotted in the C25 brochure:

    https://www.avon.com/brochure?s=shopbroch&c=reppwp&setlang=en&rep=smoore
  • Pg. 20, For the Love of Makeup Artist Palette is only $19.99 and includes all the colors you could need for eyes, lips, and cheeks.
  • Pg. 25, Luck La Vie makes a beautiful boxed gift set for a special lady - mother, daughter, aunt, cousin, friend - for only $25, which is less than the value of the fragrance alone. You can check the scent (fresh strawberry, lily of the valley, warm cedarwood) with the scent spot on the page.
  • Pg. 33, The Senses Festive Cranberry & Cinnamon Collection will only be around for the winter season, so get all 4 items (2 shower gels, 1 body spray, 1 lotion) for only $10.99 while it is available.
  • Pg. 35, The 130th Anniversary special for this campaign is Gel Finish 7-in-1 Enamel - 23 shades and clear for only $4.99 each.

  • Pg. 46, Beyond Color Lipstick and Lip Conditioner are $4.99 each. Everyone should have at least the color Twig in their makeup kit, and I believe the color Stolen Kisses will go great with all the black and red fashions that are so popular in the winter months.
  • Pg. 60, All Makeup Brushes are on sale!
  • Pg. 63, Moisture Effective Eye Makeup Remover Lotion - $1.99!!
  • Pg. 63, It's hard for me to believe it, but Flavor Savers and Dew Kiss Lip Balms are being discontinued in the new year. I hope they return sometime, but we have no guarantee that they will, so you might want to get them while you can at any 2 for $2.50. Moisture Therapy and Care Deeply lip balms are also include in that offer.
  • Pg. 87, Mesmerize Black (scent spot on page) is only $9.99. This fragrance is a real winner for the men.

Terrific Tuesday - Always on Point Eye Liner

Life has been busy lately and I've fallen behind in a couple of areas - mainly keeping up my blog posts as regularly as I would like. I can't promise to stay on schedule from now on, (because life is always busy, isn't it?), but I shall be on schedule today!

Always On Point Eye Liner is a favorite with several of my customers, who purchase it in quantity whenever it is on sale in order to never run out. It is available in 4 shades for every need: Midnight Navy, Black/Brown, Black, and Brown. The colors most popular with my customers are Black/Brown and Black.

The eye liner has a precision point for the most consistent eyeliner application every time. Keeping the point sharp is very easy, because there is a built in sharpener in the cap. Simply twist the pencil and you get a perfect point! The liner is smudge free and waterproof, so your precision look will stay all day.

Benefits:
  • Smudge and waterproof
  • Always sharp point
  • Built-in sharpener
  • Mess free and easy to sharpen
  • Stays color-true all day
To Use:
  • With the Always on Point Eye Liner cap in place, simply push and twist the liner for two clicks to re-shape to a perfect precision point every time.
  • No messy shavings to worry about since the shavings remain in the cap.
  • The eye liner itself cannot be twisted up, however, when the eyeliner is sharpened in the cap it advances automatically.
Price: The regular price for this product is currently $8, but it is often on sale, and right now it is $3.99 in the Campaign 25 brochure. What a great deal!

C23 Cloud Climbers Unit Newsletter

(My team newsletter. Read it to see how we are doing and decide whether you would like to join the fun!)

Greetings, Ladies and Gentlemen!

It has been a rough week for me, technology wise, but I think I've gotten most of the issues straightened out now. The problem was that my email account was upgraded and the process kept my email lists intact, but made them unusable. It happened after I sent the Customer Reminder to you, but before I was able to get it to my own customers. I hope the fact that I could not get the reminder sent to all of them did not cost me too much money in lost sales. I've spent several days redoing my lists and have several more lists that still need to be done. In recreating this list of Cloud Climbers, I cleaned it up a bit and took out some names of CCs that are no longer selling while adding the names of one or two that I had somehow missed. I hope I have the list accurate now, but if you get this email twice, please let me know. So, I finally got ready to do the newsletter this Saturday morning and, low and behold, VIBE has stopped working and I can't get the info I need to do the report! Argh! Technology is great when it works, but when it doesn't....   I guess I'll start sorting my Avon order that came in last night and come back to this later.

Okay, VIBE is back up and running, so onward I go!

Top Ten in Sales for C23

 1. Susan Watkins
 2. Angela Turley
 3. Rene Parker  PC
 4. Steffanie Erdelt
 5. Susanne Watkins
 6. Judith Lea
 7. Starla Hamilton
 8. Kelly Whipple
 9. Brenda Taylor
10. Sheilia Smith

We currently have 81 active Cloud Climbers, but only 43 of those turned in orders for C23. I'm a bit surprised at that, because it means that a bunch of you did not even order brochures for C25, which is going to make it more difficult for you to make money during this Christmas selling season. If you want to get some of those brochures, you can place an order for brochures only and you will not have to pay shipping on those since they are a sales tool. You need to do it right away though, because we are in the middle of C24 now.

I want to thank the few of you who have started posting a few things on our Facebook page for the Cloud Climbers. I like to see feedback and input there! If you are not yet on the page, send a friend request to me at this link and I'll add you: https://www.facebook.com/sandra.l.moore. If you look on my page right now, you'll see my house as it looks right now in the cover photo.

We have added several new team members since my last newsletter: Mary Waters (Leesburg, AL), Arletha Thomas (Birmingham, AL), Sonya Johnson (Birmingham, AL), Maria Lopez (Savannah, TN), Jacqueline Dickson (Nashville, TN), Sandra Sides (Nauvoo, AL), Vallarie Smith (Fairview, TN), Rosanna Cassidy (Ashland City, TN), Wendy Reed (Kimberly, AL), and Ayanna Matson (Chelsea, AL). Ayanna is a first recruit for new Cloud Climber, Sonya Johnson, so Congratulations, Sonya, on getting your Avon team started! I also discovered I had overlooked a representative who joined Avon and our team in the middle of October, Lydia Lopez (Nashville, TN). I don't know how that one slipped by me, but it appears that the email I usually get from Avon to let me know I have a new team member did not reach me. I think I'd better set up a system to make sure that doesn't happen again, because I was not able to help Lydia during her first month as a representative.

I'm happy to be able to spotlight a representative this campaign, and I already have another one ready for the Spotlight next campaign, so thanks to my newer representatives who are sharing info about themselves and their plans. I'll be happy to Spotlight YOU in a future newsletter if you will give me a few tidbits to share. In the  Spotlight this campaign is Arletha Thomas. Arletha joined Avon on October 25, so she is very new to business, and to selling in general. She is divorced and the mother of a 23 year old son. They moved to Birmingham 12 years ago so she could start a new career in the medical field as a surgical technologist. After working at UAB for 7 years, she took a break and started working in the same field at Brookwood in 2013, where she continues today. Due to some ongoing health problems, she is now waiting for disability and has begun her Avon business as a way to earn extra income.

Tip:  The invoicing system we have available in our Web Office is great and saves a lot of time and effort, but occasionally there are mistakes. Just double check the prices shown before printing the invoices. For example, I had a customer order 4 pieces of jewelry and the prices shown were $19.99 for two of them and $16.99 for the other two. I knew that didn't seem right, so I checked the printed invoice that came with my order and found that they were really supposed to be $6.99 for two and $5.99 for the other two. I'm sure my customer would have been quite upset to see the higher charges on her invoice, and I would have been embarrassed by the mistake!

Be sure to read all emails Avon sends you, look at the short video available at Campaign Central on youravon.com, post the Coupon Codes Avon sends you in the weekly newsletter on Monday, and earn the rewards you can get from Direct Delivery orders! Rene Parker and I have earned the Prima already, and there is still time for you to do the same, but today is the last day.

Here are some other Coupon Codes you can offer your Customers who choose Direct Delivery from Avon at your eStore. (These are not for orders you place and deliver, but only orders your customers pay for at your eStore and have delivered directly from Avon to themselves.)

WELCOME to get 20% off of a $50 first order.
THANKYOU20 to get 20% off of a $50 second order.
AVONFB16 to get 20% off of a $60 order through the end of the year.
DISCOVER16 to get $10 off of a $40 order when you use your Discover Card to pay for your order anytime in 2016.

Thanks so much for all you do for your customers and our team!! Let me know how I can help you with your business.

Time is Running Out!!

I know it sounds a bit ridiculous to say that time is running out for the Christmas selling season, but seriously, we are already selling from the first brochure that features Christmas items (our wonderful winter fragranced candles), and there are only three more brochures that will be available before the holiday is over, so if you want to earn money during the biggest selling season of the year, you need to get started NOW. Yesterday would have been even better, but yesterday is gone. :)

Go to smoore.avonrepresentative.com/opportunity/start and in two minutes you can have your kit on its way to you. There are three choices of the kits, so look them over carefully and take your pick - $25, $50, or $100. Be especially careful to notice the amount of product that is in the kits, because you might see things that you can use as Christmas presents for your own friends and family members in those kits. You can set up your eStore while you wait for your kit to arrive, and customers can begin to purchase from you today!

I hope to see YOUR name on my team before tomorrow!!

p.s. If you have absolutely decided that you will not become an Avon representative right now, you can still purchase Avon products for yourself and for presents at my eStore: smoore.avonrepresentative.com. Register your email address there and you will receive Coupon Codes for free shipping, discounts on orders, free gifts, etc. If you have not looked at what is available through Avon lately, I assure you that you will be amazed.
