Cloud Climbers Team Newsletter for Campaign 9

Oops! I goofed!! Earlier today I started to post the team newsletter for Campaign 9 and did not see the one for Campaign 8, so I thought I had somehow skipped it and had better post that one first. Well, one of my terrific Cloud Climbers caught my mistake and let me know I had already posted the C8 Newsletter on April 11, so I have deleted that one from earlier today. Thanks so much for keeping me straight, Joanne Bradford. I appreciate your taking time to let me know of my mistake. And now, here is the Campaign 9 Cloud Climbers Team Newsletter. :)

Good morning!

It is a good morning, even though I'm a little bit disappointed, mostly with myself. I got it into my head that campaign 9 ended today at noon, but it actually ended at noon yesterday, as all of you should know and as I was supposed to know. My brain just failed me this time. The upshot of that was that I missed getting a final stock-up order done for myself to push our team sales over the $8,000 mark. Of course I was hoping that I would not have to do that stock-up, and even had offers going for you to try to boost sales, but I was ready to do the stock-up this morning and then realized the campaign had closed yesterday. Believe me, THAT will not happen again in C10! I am stubborn about wanting that final $375 of the bonus money and I want to be able to give away the $100 that I promised to give to one of you. The rules for that were that you had to have an order in each campaign for C7, C8, and C9, and I had to get the full bonus amount. I will stick to that $100 only going to someone who had an order in each of those campaigns, but I can't pay it out until the entire $1,500 comes to me, so I need all 23 of those Cloud Climbers who had orders for three straight campaigns to have them again in C10 - plus orders from everyone else! We only had 49 out of 85 team members turn in orders for C9 (seriously?!?) and our team sales were $7,637. ðŸ˜¢  BUT, we are not defeated and I know the C10 Newsletter will not have a frown in it. Right? Right!

I will do the drawing for the $100 at the close of C10 when I know that the entire $1,500 is mine and announce the results in the next newsletter and I'll probably announce that in a FB Live video as well. Here are the 23 people who will be in the drawing, and I very much appreciate their dedication to having an Avon order in every campaign: Leslie Clendenon, Judith Lea, Rene Parker, Deanna Buswell, Margaret McCrary, Phyllis Smith, Ashleigh Downey, Alison Hogan, Vicky White, Angelika Turner, Barbara Hambrick, Steffanie Erdelt, Sharon Tibbs, Gladys Faulk, Stephanie Renshaw, Darren Mannahan, Carolyn King, Barbie Breen, Sophya Johnson, Rosanna Cassidy, Hattie Bush, Syble Talley, and Wanda Collier. Which one of these will be $100 richer soon? Stay tuned to find out!

If you have been a Cloud Climber for at least a few campaigns, you will recall that I gave away some products to a person who met a certain requirement, and that requirement was just to read this newsletter and let me know they had done so. Everyone had to read to the end to see my note about that, and I did it to try to find out who was reading my newsletters. I was quite surprised to find out that only ONE person actually responded to tell me she read the newsletter. Well, when you own your business and are trying to meet goals, you can give money and goodies away to whoever you please, even if it does not involve the whole team. Therefore, when we were nearing the end of C9 and I was planning to make sure that campaign went over the $8,000 in team sales, I sent an eCard through the VIBE system to team members who were expected to have an order for C9 but had not yet turned one in. In the eCard I told them that their names would go into a drawing for $25 if they had a C9 order of at least $100. With the VIBE system, you are able to see who has opened your correspondence and at the end of C9, this is what I saw...   19 Sent   10 Opened   9 Unopened   2 Undelivered (I assume because their email systems blocked the eCards). Out of the 10 that were opened, only 2 of those Cloud Climbers had orders over $100. That was an easy drawing to do, and the winner of the $25 is Leslie Clendenon. Congratulations, Leslie! Your $25 check will be in the mail to you soon. I wanted to be sure to tell everyone what happened so you can see that 9 people, some of whom may have turned in orders over $100, totally missed out on the drawing because they never opened the eCards. I will be doing other offers of money and goodies for various reasons throughout the year, so.....my question is....should I be contacting those people in some other way besides email? Will those people, or people who never read these newsletters, even know that they need to tell me a better way to communicate with them?!? Hmmm.... as Deanna would say, "The struggle is real." ðŸ˜Š If you are one of those people who does not like to read emails but for some reason you are reading this one, please let me know if you prefer to be contacted in another way about special offers. I'm willing to text or call if you like, but you need to reply to this email to give me your cell phone number. Thanks!

Mother's Day is Fast Approaching. Is your gift ready?

Greetings!

We had a solid 24 hours of rain, but the skies are clearing and the sun is trying hard to bust through the clouds, so prettier days are ahead. I told my husband we were just storing up for the coming drought. The temperatures will be cooler for a couple of days and then maybe, just maybe, warmer weather will be here to stay! Meanwhile, staying cozy inside with a hot cup of tea and shopping from your seat via the online Avon brochure is the perfect way to spend a restful 30 minutes on a Sunday afternoon. We are currently finishing up with Campaign 9, which is our Mother's Day gift brochure, and there are some excellent gifts for mom here. In fact, I decided to do a video to talk about the beauties you see here along with many more gifts suitable for mom, including some gorgeous jewelry, and you can view it on my YouTube channel through this link. You can have your order shipped to mom by putting her address in when you checkout. Check the box to indicate it is a gift and Avon will not put the invoice listing prices in with the order.

Enjoy your shopping! If you are a mom shopping for yourself, I hope you enjoy your Avon items and that you have a happy Mother's Day!

Cloud Climbers Team Newsletter for Campaign 8

Greetings, Cloud Climbers!

How many of you watched the announcement made on FB Live this morning from the PRP Recognition event in Orlando? I missed it by a few minutes because I thought it was going to be on at 9:00 our time but it was 9:00 Eastern time. Ah well. That's not the first time I've had that happen and I'm sure it won't be the last. At any rate, we can't miss seeing it, since Avon has it all over the home page on YA. Uniting with the American Cancer Society in their work for Breast Cancer will be great for those of us living in or near Huntsville, since there is a walk here every year, if I am not mistaken.

We made our team goal for C8! This one was a little bit harder and when it came down to the wire I did a stock up on some products that I sell regularly to push us over the $8K, but I could have done that without the help of all of you getting us close to the mark. I heard that it sales were lower for some of you in C8, but that they should be better in C9. Since C9 is the last campaign that we need to hit $8K for the bonus money on my promotion, I added a note about needing orders to meet my goal to my customer reminder that I sent to my own customers and they came through for me so well that my sales for C9 were, so far, $1,030! I hope that number goes up just a bit with some direct delivery orders placed at my online store before the campaign ends next Wednesday at noon. PLEASE, all of you place an order for this campaign, no matter how small, so that I don't have to do another big stock up. After all, even after I get all of the $1,500 bonus (which I WILL get!!) our team will still need to have $8K in sales each campaign for me to get paid at the Bronze Leader level, so I don't need to have so much product in stock that my future orders are low. Ha! As of this morning, the team has 25 orders with a total of $3,089 in sales, so we have quite a way to go. We are averaging about half of the team of 85 having orders each campaign, so that means there will probably be around 20 more orders turned in and those need to average $245.55. I think it will happen without a stock up!

Top Ten in Sales for C8

 1. Sandra Moore  HS  $1,829
 2. Rene Parker  PC  $490
 3. Leslie Clendenon  $485
 4. Gladys Faulk  $394
 5. Julie Thomas  $362
 6. Deanna Buswell  $351
 7. Margaret McCrary  $319
 8. Phyllis Smith  $284
 9. Stephanie Erdelt  $272
10. Annette Shepherd  $269

I did a little checking on the top four on the above list and found that the three of us who were selling last year all have a sales increase over last year! I have an increase of $4,300 (Rose Circle, here I come!), Rene has an increase of $554, and Gladys has an increase of $979. If this trend continues, Gladys should be returning to President's Club to rejoin Rene and I (I hit PC this campaign and I am confident Rene will make it by the end of the year), and Leslie (who is new this year) will most likely join us as well. That makes me happy, happy, happy!! Have you checked your sales to see if they are better than last year? I hope they are!

Birthdays for April include: Hattie Bush (4/1), Nicole Darby (4/3), and LaShaun Wright (4/4). Those celebrating Avon Anniversaries are: Gladys Faulk (28 years on 4/4), Thelma Mast (36 years on 4/6), Kim Mitchell (2 years on 4/22), and Margaret McCrary (3 years on 4/30).

New to the Cloud Climbers are Debbie Fortenberry of Arab, AL, and Amanda Poarch of Trinity, AL, who is a recruit of Deanna Buswell. We are happy to have them, pray they will have much success, and we congratulate Deanna on adding another member to her team!

Rene Parker and I both received Avon Awards for Sales Increase - 200 PRP points for me and 50 PRP points for Rene. Those points will be added to our other points and can be used to purchase various merchandise. It's sort of like having those old fashioned Green Stamps to shop with. ðŸ˜Š

I was just watching Donna Miles, our Southeast Regional Director, singing to the honorees at the recognition dinner tonight in Orlando. I met Donna when she came to Huntsville for the Drive Like a Boss workshop last year and also had lunch with her at our graduation from the Coaching program, but I don't remember ever hearing that she could sing. She did a beautiful rendition of a song about being grateful. I'll be able to post it on our Cloud Climbers' FB page thanks to Linda Montavon, who did the recording during the event, so I'll try to get that done tomorrow.

Well, I've been working on this newsletter off and on all day, and it is almost time for bed now. I've put it on my calendar in VIBE to do the customer reminder email on Friday, so let us all hope that I get that to you in time for ALL of you to use it if you choose to do so.

Take care, and let me know if you need help from me in any way.
