Cloud Climbers Newsletter for Campaign 9 - the Challenge is 1!


I put off completing this Newsletter for Campaign 9 for several days in hopes of getting the 8 CCs needed to complete the Challenge from the Campaign 8 Newsletter so that we could do a drawing. Alas, while we had better participation for this Challenge than we did for the last one, we still only had five participants: Deanna Buswell, Margo Prytz, Benetta Staten, Rene Parker, and Amy Layne. So...all of them have their names in the Challenge Can and Deanna's is in there twice since she also completed the last Challenge, but we cannot do a drawing yet. 🙁 The Challenge for this Newsletter will be a super easy one, even easier than the last one, so surely we can get 8 participants this time! Challenge: You must give a brochure, a business card, or a link to your online store to one person who has never placed an Avon with you. You don't have to get an order from them, but you must make a personal contact (not just a post on Facebook for all your friends), in person, by email, by Messenger, etc., and you must tell me the first name of the person you contacted. The contact can be someone you know or a complete stranger. An example of a contact of this sort would include language such as: "Hey, ____, I've been an Avon Representative for awhile now and I am trying to build my business. Since you have not yet placed an order with me, I'm giving you this brochure/link so that you can see what Avon has to offer today. One of my favorite products is ______, and I'd be happy to provide a sample of that product or another that might interest you, or perhaps you will see some jewelry or fashion items that would appeal to you more. Avon has a 90 day money back guarantee, so if you don't like what you order, just let me know." It does not have to be that language, you understand, that is just a sample. You might even want to say "My Avon Mentor has challenged me to reach out to someone who has never ordered from me before, and you fit that description, so I've got an Avon brochure for you (or I've got this link to my online store for you), and I'd very much appreciate it if you would take a look and see if there are any products that you would like to order or to know more about." You've got about two weeks to get this Challenge accomplished, so check your phone contacts for someone to reach out to, or look for a stranger as you go along your way. Who knows? That stranger could become one of your best customers! It has happened to me more than once.

So, BIG NEWS this week from Avon, that all of you who are active with Avon should know since you should have received the email from Avon telling us that LG has purchased the entirety of Avon. I did a video on my Facebook page (you can view it here) in which I talked about how this should be very good news for us. So far I have not heard or read any negative comments about this change, although I am sure there are some "Negative Nellies" that are commenting somewhere, because there is always at least one. 😉 If for some reason you did not receive the email, let me know and I will forward it to you. I'm excited about what is coming for Avon in the next few years!
