It just popped into my head as I began to write about the fact that I let so much time pass that I'm now doing a combined Newsletter again.😳 Ah, well. As we take care of important things, other things must sometimes take a back seat. However, I am going to be disciplined today and get this done! We warmly welcome a new Cloud ClimberAmy Budisalich of Decatur, AL! Amy and I have chatted back and forth through email and FB just a little bit and she tells me she considers herself a resident of Priceville and she is excited to have her Avon business started. She has also been taking some of the Avon U training courses and finding them very helpful as she begins her Avon journey. 

I have one more Challenge for you, and this will be the last one unless we get 8 participants, which is just under 10% of the team. In the beginning of my Challenge program, I stated that if little interest was shown I would drop the program after a few tries. I think we've given it enough of a trial to see that most of you are just not interested in participating, or else you just aren't reading the newsletters and don't know there are Challenges in them ðŸ˜­. I announced this Challenge on our FB group page last week, and you have until I get the next newsletter sent to let me know you have met the Challenge - meaning you have at least two weeks to get it done. The Challenge is in the image attached and all you have to do is share it at least one way. You can text it, put on Facebook or IG, email it, etc., just as long as you get it out there. Of course, you have to be prepared to send out the "bags" of samples, but you can order some after sharing and get that part done on your own schedule. The Challenge is just to get the offer shared, and I have already gotten four takers since I shared it, with one of those not being a current customer. 

I want to give a Shout Out to Linda Wardell, who has been doing some extra hard work lately in promoting her business on social media. I've particularly noticed the Avon posts on her FB story, and I hope her FB friends are taking notice as well and her business will grow through her efforts. CCs, tell me what you are doing to further your business for a Shout Out in the next newsletter. 

Birthdays for June include: Vicky White (6/4), Annette Shepard (6/25), and Kathy McAlpin (6/28). Happy birthdayto these three! Celebrating Avon Anniversaries in June are: Deanna Buswell (2 years on 6/1), Anna Kinsaul (2 years on 6/12), Susan Watkins (3 years on 6/16), Vicky White (16 years on 6/20), Ann Henry (29 years on 6/25), and Virginia Curtis (20 years on 6/29). Congratulations to these hard working Avon ladies!

By now most of you, if not all of you, will have heard from Dee Powers, who is the new Field Trainer for most of the area where our Cloud Climbers reside. If you live outside of her territory, I'm sure you have heard from your Field Trainer as well. Here's a bit of background for those who don't know what a FT is: For many years, Avon had District Sales Managers, Division Managers, and Field Trainers. We all interacted most with our DSMs, had some interaction with DMs, and there were occasional classes taught in various locations by Field Trainers. When Avon decided that Leadership Reps like myself could do (and often were doing) most of the work done by the DSMs, they did away with that position and hired Sales Coaches and Leadership Coaches to work with the top Reps in Sales and Leadership in various ways. Now these Coaches' job descriptions have changed and they no longer work with just the top people but are Field Trainers to help ALL Representatives. Therefore, if Dee (or your Field Trainer, if it is not Dee), invites you to a FB call, a meet and greet in your area, etc., I do hope that you will participate if you can. Dee sent out a document this morning with a lot of information and locations for a meet and greet, so be sure to look at that and RSVP if you can make one of them. I'll be attending the one at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, at Newk's in Huntsville, but I could also attend one at the IHOP in Athens on the morning of Friday, June 28. In fact, if you will let me know that you are going to be at that one, I will do my best to attend it as well so that I can see you, too! If you can't make it to one of those meetings but you would like some one-on-one training from your Field Trainer, be sure to let her know. She is hired by Avon to train, so take advantage of that opportunity if you need it!

Remember that I am praying daily for you and your business, and let me know if there is a way I can help you with it. In particular, if there is someone who you think might be interested in learning more about the Avon business, I'd be happy to send an email with details to them and include a link to your online store so they can get started there. All I need is a name and an email address, but make sure you get permission to share it with me first. 

Some of you are in contact with me regularly while there are others that I never hear from. I plan to start doing some Power Hour calls of my own later in the summer, so if we have never talked over the phone before, we will have the opportunity to do that then.

Campaign 13 - Have a Self-Care Moment!

In Campaign 13 Avon is featuring Anew Skin Care and encouraging customers to turn their regimen into a ritual. In other words, choose the skin care regimen that is right for you and make taking care of your skin a habit that you do every day. Cloud Climbers Newsletter for Campaign 10, 2019.

Greetings!

Susan, Brandi, Chad, Jo, Becky, Michael, Coretta, Brenda, Merry, Annie, Sharlene, and Marge. What do all of those names have in common? They are all names of new contacts made by Cloud Climbers (some made more than one connection) who met the Challenge for the last Newsletter. Because we had eight terrific CCs who participated, I was able to do a drawing for a goodie package of business tools and it will be on its way to Benetta Staten soon. Thanks, Benetta, Deanna Buswell, Anna Kinsaul, Leslie ClendenonRene Parker, Kimberly Thompson, Amy Layne, and Donna Langford for joining me in this Challenge! Leslie had this to say about her contact: "I reached out to a guy named Chad that I overheard speaking about sending his wife little things through the mail while he was away for work. He took a book and actually placed an online order!" When you are consistently on the alert for opportunities to share your business, you will find them. 

The next Challenge will be a two part one. All of you should now be on Avon now.,  the system for our back offices that was formerly called Avon 2.0. I want you to scroll down the home page until you see "Inventory Alerts" and click on "View All" under that heading. Look at the pages of products being discontinued during the 2nd and 3rd quarters. First of all, don't panic. 😉 Then, look to see what products YOU use regularly and go ahead and order those if you can still get them. That's the first part. The second part is to look for products that YOUR CUSTOMERS use regularly and give at least one of them a "heads up" that the product is being discontinued so that they can go ahead and order if they so choose. If you see a product that has a recommended replacement, please let the customer know what the replacement will be. If you don't see a recommended replacement, let them know that new products are coming soon. Your customers will appreciate you letting them know in advance. If they start complaining, please DO NOT join them in the complaining. You can complain to me or your hubby, etc., you can sympathize with them, but don't run down your own company, as that is shooting yourself in the foot and is not helpful to your business. Tell them about LG H&H acquiring Avon North America and that Avon is clearing away items that have either not sold well or that need to be updated to make room for all the good things we expect to be coming our way very soon. Report back to me that you have met the Challenge and your name will go in the Challenge Can for our next drawing.

For some reason we were low on online orders for direct delivery this campaign. For those who are pushing to hit President's Club this year, encouraging online orders can really help toward that goal since they are counting for Double Dollars in Award Sales through C17. Make sure to register yourself at your online store so that you will get emails when there are free shipping on $25 offers (they come about once every two weeks), and you can let all your potential online ordering customers know. They generally are only good for one day, so you have to act fast. In fact, when you send email reminders or texts, encourage all your customers to register their email addresses at your online store so they don't have to depend on you notifying them but will be notified by Avon when those codes are available.

That's all for now, as I need to get busy entering the Spring fundraiser for the group I do one for every Spring and Fall. We had right at $2,000 in sales this time, so that fundraiser continues to go well. My online fundraiser is not going well at all, but I still believe the online fundraiser opportunity is a good one so I'm not giving up hope for it. ðŸ˜Š Perhaps you can find a group that is willing to give it a try and you'll do much better.
